Auli: It is situated at 2800 meters above sea level and has the longest skiing slopes in Asia. The shimmering white slopes covered with fresh snow are a paradise for photography and skiing enthusiasts.
It is part of the Nanda Devi mountain ranges of the Himalayas. Nanda Devi Peak, the world’s third-highest peak, is the crown of Auli, and when rays of the sun touch this peak, it turns orange. The sunrise and sunsets are memorable experiences. The silence and serene surroundings on one side are mountain ranges and on the other side is a dense forest of oak and pine. The combination gives a thrilling sight. There is also an artificial lake to collect water from the melting snow. The reflection of the snow-covered peaks provides a mesmerizing experience.
