This adventure will take you from lush green Parvati valley home to the Malana Village to the high mountain desert of Trans Himalayas. Malana village is full of intrigue with its age-old customs of peculiar nature. Malana village is world-famous for its products and its beautiful surroundings. On the other hand, Spiti Valley is home to ancient monasteries, high-altitude lakes, and its National Park. The looks, language, clothing, and culture of the people of Malana village are pretty different from neighboring Himanchal villages. We will be visiting two high-altitude lakes and many ancient monasteries in Spiti Valley. The people of Spiti are hardworking and hospitable. On the way to Spiti valley, we will also visit Manali.

Chandra Tal: It is a moon-shaped lake at the altitude of 14060 feet in the district of Lahaul Spiti. Chandra Taal is one of the most beautiful lakes In India and represents rustic beauty in majestic surroundings due to its remote location.
The pristine Chandra Tal Lake changes its color synchronizing with the direction of the sun. It is the reason why one comes across different shades of this beautiful lake in other pictures. It appears most beautiful during the whole moon night as the moon’s reflection can be seen in the lake as well as shimmering of snow peaks also adds up the glamour of this natural spectacle.
Kunzum Pass: With a distance of 75km from Rohtang, Kunzum Pass is also a high mountain pass connecting Kullu and Lahaul Valley with Spiti Valley. A beautiful temple dedicated to Kunzum Mata at the Pass and colorful prayer flags gives a pleasant contrast to the barren, snow-covered surroundings. Generally, people pay their homage to the Goddess by circling the shrine while crossing the Kunzum Pass. It is a much higher altitude Pass than Rohtang.
Kaza: Kaza is the sub-divisional headquarters in the Spiti Valley. This Valley is known to have cold deserts and high altitudes. Kaza is located 11989 ft above sea level and is the highest commercial center of Spiti Valley and boasts of a very ancient monastery and a great Café.
Kibber: A narrow valley on the summit of limestone rock, Kibber is a village high in Spiti Valley. It is widely famous for its monastery and wildlife sanctuary. After reaching there, we’ll be having a small trek around this cold desert kind village and visiting Chicham Bridge, one of the world’s highest bridges. We’ll shortly leave after for Gette.
Gette: Just 9km away, Gette is the highest village in Spiti, with just six families living in total (as recorded last year). With minimal population, this place is at its best in its rustic beauty. After reaching here, we’ll be doing a little trekking and see the only best thing this place has to offer is the mind-blowing Mountain Drop that’ll keep you staring with your mouths open for hours.
Langaza: This 15km drive to Langaza is one of the most scenic drives ever. We’ll be experiencing some of the most beautiful scenes, such as snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, with magnificent Buddha statues and villages sprawling with greenery to make your heart skip a beat. The lush green fields with high stark brown mountains will be soothing to the eyes and soul. We will be halting at this place for some time to appreciate the rustic beauty of the area. After that, we will continue our tour.
Hikkim: Just a half an hour drive, Hikkim is the nearest village connected to the road. The simplicity and serenity of this village stand out. People here use stones and wood to build houses and structures, which is rare and extraordinary. It also has the world’s highest post office one can send greetings to their loved ones.
Komik: Being the highest village globally, at an altitude of 15,500ft above sea level. This village is no ordinary village but has a lot more to offer. We’ll be visiting the Komik Monastery just four km away, which, unlike other common monasteries, actually provide accommodation to the tourists. Staying with monks is an altogether different experience. One can visit and talk to the monks and know their way of life and its challenges. Also, there is an impressive Volleyball Court outside this Monastery where the Lamas play and will be more than happy to include us.
Pin Valley: Located in the cold desert habitat of Spiti Valley, Pin Valley is situated actually in the Cold Desert Biosphere Region. Within its unexplored slopes and colorful mountains, much rare wildlife lies like Snow Leopard and Siberian Ibex. We’ll be admiring the Flora and Fauna of this place as it has that in abundance. While the vegetation is sparse due to high altitude, we’ll be seeing beautiful fields of the farmers of Mudh valley and enjoy the sight of many springs coming down from the slopes of the snow-covered mountains, an absolute treat for our eyes.
Mudh: 14,500 ft in Pin Valley, where the Pin River flows in mesmerizing silvery ribbons, lies a small village with minimal population called Mudh. It’s known for its arid landscape, where we’ll get to see the very rare Pink blossoms called Sia Mentok. We will be taking a stroll of this picturesque village and enjoy the grand scenic and virgin beauty of this place.
Dhankar Monastery: A village and a Buddhist temple, Dhankar Gompa/Monastery has situated at 12774ft in Spiti Valley above Dhankar Village. It’s a fort-like structure on a cliff giving the most spectacular view of the rivers Spiti. The magnificent location and topography of this Gompa can have an everlasting impression on anyone.
Dhankar Lake: Four km away from the village, Dhankar Lake is a high-altitude lake in Spiti Valley. One of the clearest lakes ever seen, lying just above the Great Dhankar Monastery. It is a pious lake and has great reverence for the people of Dhankar. It is prohibited to touch the water of the lake.
Tabo: A small town on the banks of the Spiti River, Tabo is surrounded by Buddhist Monastery that is said to be a thousand years old.
Gue Monastery: People generally do not give proper attention to this serene Monastery. When we think about Mummy, only the Egyptian mummies come to our mind, and here the mummy was preserved without using any chemicals and is more than 500 years old. Young Lama died due to the avalanche. Due to snow, the body didn’t get affected, and the process of mummification took place.
Villagers still believe that the mummy brings prosperity to the village and guards the settlement against climatic vagaries.
Nako: Nako is a small scenic village located near the Indo-China Border. We’ll get to see the actual border close and even click photos with some of those who live close to the edge while listening to new stories. Also, we’ll be visiting Nako Lake 11,500ft above sea level. A group of trees surrounds it, and in the backdrop of prayer flags fluttering on the rooftops of the houses and green fields of the villagers provide the world spectacle.
Kalpa: Kalpa is a town in Kinnaur District with an altitude of 9721 feet. In the morning, as the sun rises, it is quite an experience to watch changing colors of snow-covered Holy Kinner Kailash, which is visible from every nook and corner of this beautiful settlement. It changes color from white to pink in the morning and then to orange in the evenings.
Life at this hamlet is slow and relaxing, with followers of Hinduism and Buddhism residing in perfect Harmony. It is much greener than Spiti as one can see apple orchards, Pine nuts trees, and plum trees in abundance.
Departure from Delhi and the Trip Calls off at Delhi.

On arrival at Airport, you will be received and assisted for transfer to the hotel. Delhi is a state filled with places of tourist interest. Our first stop will be the Laxminarayan Temple, built on the Odisiel style of architecture. After that, we will drive past Government buildings like Parliament House, President House, India Gate, or The War Memorial. After that, we will visit the magnificent Jama Masjid, The Grand Mosque built by Emperor Shah Jahan. After a visit to the Mosque, we will embark on a walking tour of the Old City of Delhi, famous for its narrow lanes and colorful bazaars, along with a visit to Spice Market. Overnight stay will be in Delhi.
Early in the morning, we will catch a train to Chandigarh. It will take around four hours and then transfer to Magic Valley.
Pristine location with an abundant natural beauty just opposite Malana will take around seven hours to reach. In Malana village, night stay is not allowed. We will be staying in Magic Valley for two nights in camps.
In the morning after breakfast, we will proceed for Malana, world-famous for its Malana Cream and its strange customs with loads of natural beauty.
Magic Valley: As the name suggests is very remote location full of intrigue. It’s located just opposite Malana. It is a tranquil place filled with dense forests and meadows.
With not many excursions, just being at this place is enough for anyone to fall in love with completely. The aura of this place is charming and soothing. The chirping of words and the river flowing below will create its own symphony.
Malana: Malana, an ancient village in Himachal Pradesh, is on the one hand surrounded by Valleys and, on the other hand, is isolated from most of the world. 8701ft above sea level, this village has a unique style, where people are very inflexible with their customs and religious beliefs. The villagers call this ‘The Republic of Malana,’ the oldest democracy in the world.
We’ll be reaching here after trekking just 4km, and we’ll witness and enjoy the views of the peaks, Chanderkhani and Deo Tibba, the ones overshadowing the Village. These hills are as pretty as they can get. A full day will be reserved to explore Malana village.
The Cannabis plants are grown in the remote valleys of this region. Malana Cream is of very high quality because it has got thirty to forty percent THC, which is relatively high. It is dark black and has inbuilt elasticity. The variety of this plant found in Malana had synchronized itself to withstand harsh winters, torrential rains, and strong wind of this remote region. Malana Cream has a very high degree of potency unrivaled throughout the world. To buy or consume hash is strictly prohibited in India and attract heavy punishment.
After breakfast, we will proceed to Manali, the gateway for Ladakh and Spiti, in the morning. It is around eighty-three kilometers, and it will take approximately three hours to reach Manali.
Manali: Manali is a resort town nestled at the northern end of Kullu Valley. Manali is a trendy tourist destination to provide a decent getaway. It is the place where growers from Spiti and other areas come to sell their harvest. You will find apricots, apples, litchees, and plums everywhere in the middle of June to early September. One can have a walk in the forest or visit some exotic Café in Old Manali.
Meanwhile, the tour manager will arrange for a permit for an onward journey to Spiti the next day. The travelers can buy the necessary items like medicines, water bottles, and confectioneries from this place as it is challenging to get in Spiti. Overnight stay will be in Manali.
After breakfast, we will be moving to Chandra Taal or Moon Lake via Rohtang Pass Tunnel, and it will be an unforgettable journey due to the scenic beauty of this route.
Chandra Tal: It is a moon-shaped lake at the altitude of 14060 feet in the district of Lahaul Spiti. As we will have already acclimatize our bodies by spending three nights in Magic Valley and Manali, it will be pretty safe to sleep at the altitude of 14,000 feet at Camp near Chandra Taal.
After breakfast, we will be moving for Kaza through Kunzum Pass, and on the way, we will be visiting the beautiful quaint villages of Kibber, Gette, and one of the most important Key Monastery.
Overnight stay will be in Kaza.
On this day, we will be visiting the beautiful quaint villages of Spiti valley.
Just fourteen km away is Key Monastery. Key Monastery or Kye Gompa is a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery located on top of the hill, around 13,668 ft. above sea level. It’s famous for the training given to Lamas and the wind chime orchestra. After reaching, we will observe and appreciate beautiful murals, ancient manuscripts, and wind instruments forming the musical orchestra. We’ll then move on to the following spots called Kibber and Gette Villages.
We’ll move back to Kaza for an overnight stay.
On this day, we will be proceeding for Mudh (Last Village of Pin Valley), and on the way, we will be visiting the rugged villages of Langaza, Hikkim, Komic, and Mudh Village in Pin Valley with serene surroundings of Spiti Valley. Overnight stay will be in Mudh Village.
On this day, we will be moving towards Tabo, and on the way, we will visit Dhankar Monastery. It’s a fort-like structure on a cliff giving the most spectacular view of the river Spiti. Just four km away from the Village is Dhankar Lake, a high-altitude lake in Spiti Valley. After spending some time onshore, we’ll be leaving for the next destination, which will be Tabo.
A small town on the banks of Spiti River, Tabo is famous for Buddhist Monastery that is a thousand years old. We’ll be visiting this Monastery shortly after the arrival and will take a quick stroll around. We’ll be calling it a day by staying there.
After breakfast, we will proceed for Kalpa, and on the way, we will visit Gue Monastery and Nako.

We will catch a toy train for Kalka, a lifetime experience in Kalka board the train for Delhi. Arrive in Delhi in the evening. Tour ends with happy memories.
