Fatehpur Sikri: If the Taj Mahal is famous for its beauty, Fatehpur Seekhri is renowned for its art and architecture. The Panch Mahal, House of Commons, House of Lords, and the palaces of the three queens of Emperor Akbar, along with Buland Darwaza, the highest gate of the world, are marvels of architectural and aesthetic sense. The Palace of Tansen, the famous musician who has the power in his music to develop rain clouds and ignite an oil lamp, is some of the architectural wonders to be appreciated here. It took ten years to build this massive city. Due to lack of water, it was abandoned within eight years of occupation. This is the reason it is called ‘The Ghost City’.
After visiting Fatehpur Sikri, we will proceed for lunch in Agra. After lunch, we will be visiting Agra Fort.
Agra Fort: Palatial Palaces, vast courtrooms, and geometrical gardens are some of the highlights of Agra Fort. The important thing about this fort is that it was built/renovated by three different Mughal Emperors. First, it was built by Emperor Akbar. He made it with red sandstone. After that, Jahangir, the son of Akbar, made some altercations and addition to this fort. Then came lover of white marble Emperor Shah Jahan who destroyed some palaces built by Emperor Akbar and Jahangir. He replaced them with white marble. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Diwane-Aam, Diwan-e- Khas, and the queen’s residence are some places to be visited in Agra Fort. From here, one can get a long view across the River Yamuna of the Taj Mahal. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 2. Agra-Delhi: 205 km/2.30 hours

On the second day of this tour, we will wake up early and proceed at 6.00 am for a most cherished view of the Taj Mahal at sunrise.
Taj Mahal: Emperor Shah Jahan, the fifth Mughal Emperor, built it in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is the most symmetric building in the world. The Emperor took the services of twenty thousand workers to get the Taj Mahal completed in twenty-two years. It is the finest example of Indo-Persian architecture, based on Char Bagh’s geometrical pattern. The principal mausoleum is at the end, and four gardens are in front of the Taj Mahal. It also provides optical illusions. Shadows and lights affect deployed brilliantly to exemplify the beauty of this wonder.

After the sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, we will take you back to the hotel for some rest and breakfast. After breakfast, we will be visiting the manufacturing unit of artifacts for your memories on the way back to Delhi.
